The Inwood Galilean Nights Festival
Jason Kendall, Director
Please always call 917 529 2359 to see if we are going up to the observing location.
As an intregral part of our community, The Inwood Astronomy Project will make use of our great neighborhood and what it has to offer. Yes, all of the pictures for every location are in New York City, with most in Manhattan. We really do have some nice parks. And suprisingly, we can actually see some dark skies, and see all of the main celestial wonders. We live here. This is our neighborhood. Come join us!
- The Baseball Diamonds at Inwood Hill Park : Saturday Nights while it is cold. (We also go here on random nights as well, announced via Facebook, Twitter and Google Group alerts.)
- The Overlook deep in Inwood Hill Park : our Spring, Summer and Autumn Saturday night meeting place.
- Fort Tryon Park right by The Cloisters: Second Wednesdays of the month.
- New York Public Library, Inwood Branch
Come see what's up in the sky!
